New Trailer Pokemon Sword and Shield Reveals Team Yell Punks

first_img Mint-Condition Set of Pokemon Cards Sold For $107KBattle Team Rocket in New ‘Pokemon Go’ Update I said this back when Team Rocket finally appeared in Pokemon Go, but villainous teams are some of my favorite parts of Pokemon lore. It’s just so great that in this world these kids uses superpowered monsters to fight the mob. However, as the series has continued, these evil organizations have slowly but surely become more buffoonish than actually threatening. It’s not good or bad, just a trend. And that trend continues with Team Yell, the new group in Pokemon Sword and Shield. Check them out, along with other new details, in this new trailer. As you journey to become the Galar region champion, you’ll encounter rival trainers like Hop and Bede. One of those rivals is this riot girl Marnie who is apparently so popular she has a whole squad of punk hooligan fans. These fans, Team Yell, harass other trainers in the region in an effort to make sure Marnie comes out on top. But it seems as if Marnie doesn’t condone their behavior. Toxic fandom is such a 2019 mood. I bet Team Yell also has some strong opinions about the National Pokedex. It’s not a new Pokemon trailer without some new Pokemon to look at though. This trailer revealed Morpeko, a little hamster looking boy who can shift between two different modes if it’s “hangry” or has a “full belly.” The Galar region also has its own variants on older Pokemon, like in Pokemon Sun and Moon. Linoone can now evolve into Gene Simmons-esque Obstagoon while Weezing gets a deliciously fancy steampunk stovepipe top hat and smog beard. All of these details also line up with leaks we first saw months ago. The Japanese trailer even hints at some kind of Pokemon job system. So if you want to spoil more of Pokemon Sword and Shield for yourself, including rumors about an evil third legendary, just go look on the dark corners of the internet. Or wait for the official release on November 2019. Have your giant cake and eat it, too. Here are some other cool Nintendo Switch games to play before then. Stay on targetlast_img
