The RCMP say the Taylor man stopped breathing after spending a few hours in the hot spring. His friend did perform CPR for 30 minutes, but he could not be revived.The RCMP do not suspect foul play or that alcohol or drugs were a factor in the death, but the coroner’s office will be conducting an autopsy to determine the cause of death. According to the local paper Arrow Lakes News, RCMP Cpl. Bryson Hill said the friend of the man had to leave the scene, run to the highway and jump in his vehicle to find help. The friend eventually got into cell range and called an ambulance who relayed the call to the RCMP.Advertisement The man had been traveling around BC and had only been in the Nakusp area for a few days.
