Day,evening or weekend hours.Job Description: Teach didactic and laboratory courses.Works with the Coordinator of the Medical Assisting Program inpreparing lectures and organizing laboratory activities for entrylevel medical assisting students.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of: on-lineinstruction techniques and methods; Microsoft Office; Blackboard;internet research. Skill In: providing quality instruction(developmental, multicultural, applied learning) and support to adiverse student body; learning technologies and use of multi-mediatechnology to enhance student learning; instructional planning andpresentation; incorporating critical thinking, effectivecommunication, and other general education outcomes in coursecontent. Ability to: perform student learning outcomes assessments;demonstrate teaching strategies that focus on student- centeredlearning; demonstrate a commitment to improving student learningthrough innovative strategies that aid student success andretention and reflect industry trends; adapt to multi-campusorganizational work environments as well as changes in thediscipline.Minimum Qualifications: A.A.S. or ATS in Medical Assisting.Certified Medical Assistant and experience in both clinical andadministrative medical assistant duties. State Motor VehicleOperator’s License or demonstrable ability to gain access to worksite(s).Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in relatedhealth field or Education.
