first_imgIf 10GB doesn’t look like enough data to satisfy your mobile surfing needs on Big Red, you’ll be happy to know that Verizon offers an unlisted $150 Share Everything plan that provides a full 20GB of data every month. For an extra $50, you’re doubling up on bandwidth that you can share on up to 10 devices. That’s $50 less per month than the same plan from AT&T.Based on what’s published on the Verizon website, you’d think that Share Everything tops out at 10GB for $100. For you to get up to the 20GB mark, then, it looks like you’d have to take advantage of the once-per-month $10 for 2GB and then choke down the remaining 8GB at $15 per gig.So why aren’t the plans listed on Verizon’s site? Company spokesperson Brenda Raney explained that the majority of its customers use less than 2GB per month. In order to keep things clear and simple on the website, only the bottom six tiers are listed. In order to sign up for 20GB (or 12, 14, 16, or 18GB), customers need to phone in and speak to a Verizon representative.“Who would need 20GB?” Raney continued. As of now, she’s probably got a point. But mobile internet use is skyrocketing, and it won’t be long before a single family with an array of connected devices chews through more than 10GB with ease. As far as who would need it right now, I dare say some of our Geek readers can think of plenty of ways to burn through that much data on the go.More at Computerworldlast_img
