first_imgRelay for Life Donegal chairperson Robert O’Connor has had a huge impact on the Donegal community in recent years as a key person behind the fundraising event.Robert is well known to all who organise and take part in Relay for Life Donegal – the annual 24-hour event that brings the community together to celebrate the lives of cancer survivors, to remember those who have died from the disease, and to raise money for the Irish Cancer Society.Robert and the Relay committee’s successful efforts this year saw funds being raised to go directly to a major research programme at Letterkenny University Hospital for cancer survivors.
